UNYA Australia, believing in the purposes and principles of the United Nations, aims to encourage young people to strive towards a greater understanding of global issues, and to educate them about the United Nations' structure, functions and future.

Operating as a national network of young volunteers, UNYA Australia is based firmly on a philosophy of best practice youth-for-youth leadership. UNYA focus on developing students' skills in vital areas such as debating, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving and understanding of international affairs in an accessible and supportive environment.
