The Oaktree Foundation is renowned for mobilising young people to tackle poverty and to inspire them to believe that they can make a difference.

The Foundation is currently recruiting a Communications Core Team Member in WA! The chosen candidate will work within the Communications team to help promote Events, Campaigns, Programs and Business Development teams. The position requires approximately 10 hours a week as well as additional meetings.

This is a chance to gain invaluable experience. It's a great opportunity for someone studying media, promotions, event management, business or marketing. You will obtain practical life skills such as communication, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution. If you want to get people excited and aware about an event that raises much-needed funds in developing communities, then this is the position for you!

Skills Required

  • Experience in media or transferable skills, interests and experience
  • Experience in promotions or transferable skills, interests and experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Attention to detail - including spelling and grammar!

Opportunity Overview: 
The Foundation is currently recruiting a Communications Core Team Member in WA! The chosen candidate will work within the Communications team to help promote Events, Campaigns, Programs and Business Development teams. The position requires approximately 10 hours a week as well as additional meetings.

The Oaktree Foundation is renowned for mobilising young people to tackle poverty and to inspire them to believe that they can make a difference.

The Foundation is currently recruiting a Communications Core Team Member in WA! The chosen candidate will work within the Communications team to help promote Events, Campaigns, Programs and Business Development teams. The position requires approximately 10 hours a week as well as additional meetings.

This is a chance to gain invaluable experience. It's a great opportunity for someone studying media, promotions, event management, business or marketing. You will obtain practical life skills such as communication, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution. If you want to get people excited and aware about an event that raises much-needed funds in developing communities, then this is the position for you!

Skills Required

  • Experience in media or transferable skills, interests and experience
  • Experience in promotions or transferable skills, interests and experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Attention to detail - including spelling and grammar!
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • A bit of tech savvy - be able to use Facebook, Twitter, as well as editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creativity and innovation - be able to come up with crazy new ways of promoting Oaktree
  • Design, photography and filming skills.
  • Initiative, dedication and reliability
  • A 'can do' attitude
