The Victoria Branch of AYCC is looking for a Local Group Leader.  Positions are for a minimum of six months. You will be responsible for creating and then leading a local climate action group in your community. You will be provided with skills training and support that you need in order to achieve this from our Grassroots Support team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

AYCC Victoria is looking for passionate, creative, hardworking and friendly people aged 16-29 to take on the exciting responsibility of starting up a local climate action group. Positions are for 6 months minimum and are on a voluntary basis.

As the leader of a local group you will run AYCC campaigns in your local area with your group, plan regular meetings and group social events. You will receive ongoing support and training in your role as Local Group Leader and the opportunity to develop invaluable skills  in leadership, volunteer management, project management, event planning and community engagement.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Community outreach to promote the formation of a local climate action group. 
• Coordinate your groupʼs activities including running AYCC campaign in your area Managing the volunteers involved in the group 
• Managing group data especially contact details of volunteers and prospectivevolunteer
