The eight award categories cover a range of fields, including the arts; education; the environment; community service; and sport and recreation.
Nominations close 24 February 2012.
Winners will be announced at the WA Youth Awards gala ceremony on Thursday, 19 April, 2012, during National Youth Week.
Each category winner receives $2 000 and a trophy. The WA Young Person of the Year receives a prize of return flights for two to a European destination, courtesy of Singapore Airlines and the Department for Communities - Youth.
Journalists and photographers will also be recognised for excellence in reporting on young people and youth issues through the Communicate! 2012 WA Youth Media Awards.
