What is National Youth Week?
National Youth Week is an annual, weeklong celebration of young people (aged 12-25) throughout Australia. It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments. National Youth Week 2012 - Imagine. Create. Inspire. will be held from 13 - 22 April 2012. Each year, all over Australia, events are planned and organised to celebrate and recognise the contribution of young people.
Call for ACT National Youth Week 2012 Committee Members
National Youth Week 2012 hits the nation on Friday 13 April and runs until Sunday 22 April and we want to hear from young people aged 12 -25 years!
Would you like to join the ACT National Youth Week 2012 Committee? The organisers of National Youth Week in the ACT need people 12 - 25 years of age to join a committee. The committee will make decisions about who should receive funding for projects and activities that happen during National Youth Week 2012. You will need to assess applications from organisations that are applying for funding from youthbeyondblue and National Youth Week Seeding Grants, against a set criteria. You don't have to have experience, just an opinion, whatever your background or interests.
The committee will meet face-to-face on Monday 6, Monday 13 and Wednesday 15 February 2012 at 4.30pm at the Youth Coalition of the ACT, 46 Clianthus Street O'Connor.
Maybe you have ideas for cool stuff to do during National Youth Week? We want to know what you're into! We also want to know what you would like to see, hear and be a part of during National Youth Week 2012. You know what you want in a festival, so help us pick events for National Youth Week 2012 and join the committee.
