Australian Youth Climate Coalition

The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is Australia's largest youth‐led organisation. We are an independent non‐profit with over 65,000 members nationwide, and a strong presence online, offline and in the media. AYCC educates, inspires and engages young people to actively build a sustainable future.

The AYCC has experienced dramatic growth in 2011, so we're expanding our Senior Leadership Team to ensure we can continue to grow into 2012 and beyond. This a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, successful team leading an inspirational organisation.

If you're a young person who is interested in:

  • Taking on a significant leadership role within the climate movement in Australia
  • Playing a key organisational role in a large not-‐for-‐profit
  • Working with a team of highly talented staff on cutting edge campaigns
  • Helping AYCC consolidate and continue its growth

Then one of these roles could be for you! Right now, AYCC is recruiting:

  • Campaigns Manager: to oversee and project manage all of AYCC's campaigns (online and offline) and support and grow our grassroots movement
  • Director of Operations: to work with the National Director and other senior staff on AYCC's internal processes (finances, legal, and communications), and project manage key AYCC strategic initiatives.

Both of these positions will be part of AYCC's Senior Leadership Team, the core leadership team in AYCC. The SLT is responsible for setting the organisation's vision and strategic direction and representing AYCC publicly.

We are seeking to fill both positions by January 2012, in order to allow the new Senior Leadership Team time to contribute to, and take ownership of, our 2012 strategy and campaigns. As with all positions at the AYCC, our focus is on finding the right people for our organisation, and as such we have a degree of flexibility to allow us to mould these positions around the successful applicants.

Role Descriptions: download the PDF File from: http://aycc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/2012-Senior-Leadership-Tea...

To Apply: Candidates should submit by email:

  • A written application of no more than 2 pages addressing the competencies and personal characteristics outlined in the position description they are applying for.
  • A curriculum vitae of no more than 2 pages.

Candidates may apply for multiple roles, but should submit separate applications for each role.

Applications should be addressed to Glen Berman, General Manager, glen@aycc.org.au.
