Applications are now open for the Extended Executive positions in the 2012 Young UN Women Australia Sydney Committee. This is a valuable opportunity for young women to build their leadership skills while promoting gender equality and the advancement of women worldwide. Nominees should note that extended executive members serve a term of one year and that these roles require a weekly time commitment and the ability to be responsive to email in order to be properly served.

The Young UN Women Australia Sydney Committee is a dynamic network of young women and men that aims to encourage the involvement of young women and men in women's development and security, build-up young women's leadership capabilities and contribute and support the work and priority areas of UN Women Australia. The Executive is the management team within the Committee who are charged with overseeing the functions of the committee and implementing organisational decisions in line with policies of UN Women Australia.

Committee Positions

Applications are now open for the Extended Executive positions in the 2012 Young UN Women Australia Sydney Committee. This is a valuable opportunity for young women to build their leadership skills while promoting gender equality and the advancement of women worldwide. Nominees should note that extended executive members serve a term of one year and that these roles require a weekly time commitment and the ability to be responsive to email in order to be properly served.

The Young UN Women Australia Sydney Committee is a dynamic network of young women and men that aims to encourage the involvement of young women and men in women's development and security, build-up young women's leadership capabilities and contribute and support the work and priority areas of UN Women Australia. The Executive is the management team within the Committee who are charged with overseeing the functions of the committee and implementing organisational decisions in line with policies of UN Women Australia.

Committee Positions

The following positions will be selected in December 2011 to serve a one year term until December 2012:

  • 2 x Events teams each comprised of:
    • 1 x Event and Volunteer Coordinators
    • 1 x Marketing Coordinators
  • Sponsorship and Financial Officer
  • Outreach Officer
  • Head of Policy
  • Print and Social Media Officer
  • Newsletter Editor-In-Chief

These positions must be filled by women or men aged 18-35.
