This project is simple.

Everyone has had ideas, dreams, and thoughts about creating change in their lives or around the world (yep...even you). Though it seems like there is too much going wrong and too little time, 2012 is a Leap Year and we are inviting you to take a risk to change your life, your community or your world for the better.

Your risk could be big or small. It could take a day, a week or the entire year. Whatever it is, we're asking you to share the idea and your progress online & offline by 'tagging' your status updates, tweets, blog posts, and even your creative endeavors with #lyproject. We will collect the stories, photographs, videos, etc in order to curate a book and an art exhibit that will be released in 2013. Together, we will tell stories of risks taken, lessons learned, and what our world accomplished in one year when we focused on taking risks together to make things better.

LYP is about making something better or more beautiful.

This may include areas of health, family, friendship, business, social innovation, personal goals to start (or finish!) a project, entrepreneurship, working with a non-profit, uncovering old dreams, or any other good that you can think of.

How to get involved

  • 1. Choose your leap: What risk will you take to change your life, or the lives of others? What risk will you take to impact the world for the better or improve the community you live in?
  • 2. Tag your story: No matter what risk you take, tag it with #lyproject (digitally - or get creative!) and contribute to the story of how we all found ways to take a risk for good.
  • 3. Spread the word: Share what you're doing with friends and family online and in person. Invite them to take a risk for good and begin sharing those stories as well!

"I simply hope that this year creates the space for you to take your risk-small or large, short or long. I hope that this project becomes a part of how you tell your story, motivate others, and-more than anything-change your life for the better. So, what Leap will you take?" Victor (founder of LYP)

Everyone has had ideas, dreams, and thoughts about creating change in their lives or around the world (yep...even you).
