Celebrating our Schools Record Label launch in July, 2011, we are beginning with a really fantastic, exciting and truly inspirational competition just for our young people - Schools Record Label 'Song for London 2012'.
We would like you to think about and consider the whole history, culture, power, influence, friendliness and sporting extravaganza of the 2012 Olympics & Paralympics Games to inspire you, our young musicians across the world to compose, perform, listen to and record a 'Song for London 2012'.
How do we enter?
Once your school, college, academy, university or youth music organisation, youth music group or youth music club have registered for free with the Schools Record Label website and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this website, you are eligible to join this and many more of our competitions.
What do we need to do now?
1. You must write and compose original lyrics and original music.
2. Perform and record your original lyrics and music to a high quality.
3. Once you are a registered user you can submit and upload your recorded track to our Schools Record Label website.
4. Your 'Song for London 2012' must be longer than 2 minutes and less than 5 minutes in duration.
6. All genres of music will be considered.
7. You may submit more than one song.
8. This competition opened at 00.01 on 11th July, 2011, so start writing and composing now!
9. The closing date for this competition is 23.59 on 30th April, 2012. Any entries received after that time and date will not be considered.
10. The winners will be announced before midnight on 31st May, 2012.
What can we win?
Perhaps the most important prize - Your 'Song for London 2012' which you have composed, performed, recorded and played could be heard worldwide by a global audience via our website. Your song could inspire other sports persons and musicians from different races and cultures from all over our planet.

Second - 'Schools Record Label - Silver Medal Award - Song for London 2012' '

The lyrics and music will be assessed and judged by Schools Record Label based on the following criteria.
