ReachOut.com MEGA Workshop!
What is it?
ReachOut.com is running two programs called ReachOut to an MP (ROMP) and ReachOut Speakers Bureau that aim to do just that! Our ROMP Program will provide you with the skills and knowledge to get involved in advocating to politicians while our ReachOut Speakers Bureau Program provides you with the skills and resources you need to advocate to the media.
What does it involve?
By getting involved you're committing to attending a three day workshop in Sydney from the 9th - 11th of December (Don't worry, we cover ALL the costs for you - you just have to show up!). At the workshop, you'll not only learn the skills you need to become an awesome advocate, but you'll work with each other to develop your own ideas for how you can really make an impact among politicians or the media. After the workshop, you'll also have the opportunity to become a Youth Ambassador for ReachOut.com
You'll have to commit to working with us throughout 2012 to put all your passion and the skills you'll learn into advocating for the mental health and wellbeing of young people. This will involve participating for roughly ½ an hour a week, though how you manage your time is up to you!
How to apply
If you are interested send an email to crew@reachout.com.au that includes the following:
- Name
- Age
- Gender
- Where you're from
- Whether you're interested in taking part in the Speakers Bureau program OR the ROMP program
- Why you're passionate about mental health and wellbeing.
This could include:
Your own experience;
Your friend's experience;
Why mental health and wellbeing is important; or
How you have used ReachOut.com before.
Your application can be submitted in the following ways:
