Red Cross is the largest humanitarian volunteer organisation in the world, with millions of members and volunteers. Young people are an invaluable resource, with their capacity to think big, take risks, and link into extensive and varied networks. As the youth network of Red Cross grows, so will its ability to positively impact our community in innovative and lasting ways.
Position Summary
The role of the Youth Advisory Committee is to design fun and innovative events and activities which have a direct humanitarian impact on the community, which we call Direct Humanitarian Actions (DHAs). The purpose of DHAs is to educate young people about the work of Red Cross, and provide them the opportunity to have a one-off, positive experience of Red Cross. The ultimate goal of the Youth Advisory Committee is to increase the profile of Red Cross among a diverse range of young cohorts by increasing the number of young people who take part in DHAs.
