Background
The WA Youth Awards were established in 1999 to recognise outstanding young Western Australians aged 12 to 25 years. They honour the hard work and dedication of young people, youth workers and youth-led groups throughout WA.

Position Details
YACWA is looking for 8-10 young people aged between 15-25 to join the Organising Committee for the 2012 Awards. As part of being on the organising committee you will have the opportunity to have your say on all aspects of the Awards including the nomination and judging process and all logistical elements of the gala ceremony held during National Youth Week 2012 including the theming, food, entertainment and more.

If you are from regional WA don't hesitate to express interest - we will include you via teleconference or video conferencing!

The first meeting of the Organising Committee will be held in early December 2011, with 1-3 meetings following that leading up to April 2012.

The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) is very excited to partnering with the Department for Communities, Office for Youth to make the 2012 WA Youth Awards the most accessible and successful awards yet.

Background
The WA Youth Awards were established in 1999 to recognise outstanding young Western Australians aged 12 to 25 years. They honour the hard work and dedication of young people, youth workers and youth-led groups throughout WA.

Position Details
