About The Role

An AYCC ACT Co-Coordinator needs to have a deep passion and commitment to solving climate change. Further, the AYCC's Theory of Change should match up closely with the Co-Coordinator's.

The role is both challenging and immensely rewarding. Constantly aiming to improve the volunteer experience and amplifying AYCC ACT's impact in the national youth climate movement requires creativity, cooperation and self-belief. Managing volunteers successfully also requires sophisticated social skills and empathy.

This is a shared position and you  will be working with one other Co-Coordinator. Together the Co-Coordinators are responsible for AYCC ACT decision-making processes. With national assistance, and in consultation with the ACT coordination team, they make decisions on how the AYCC can be most effective in solving climate change in the ACT. The role is a fantastic opportunity to develop many and varied skills with lasting benefits.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support team coordinators.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the work of AYCC ACT
  • Design and oversee implementation of AYCC projects in the state.
  • Channel communication between the national and state-based AYCC groups.
  • Develop structures to maintain transparency and input into decision-making as the

AYCC grows.

  • Work with other state co-ordinators to input into AYCC's National Grassroots Strategy
  • Act as the AYCC's foremost spokesperson in the state.
  • Network and collaborate with other organisations in ACT that we can learn from and work with

AYCC Canberra is currently recruiting for two new State Coordinators. These people will be responsible for managing and supporting team co-ordinators and providing strategic direction to the growth of AYCC in Canberra, and implementing national campaigns. This role is an opportunity to play an influential part in Australia’s Youth Climate Movement, as well as to develop lasting skills.

About The Role

An AYCC ACT Co-Coordinator needs to have a deep passion and commitment to solving climate change. Further, the AYCC's Theory of Change should match up closely with the Co-Coordinator's.

The role is both challenging and immensely rewarding. Constantly aiming to improve the volunteer experience and amplifying AYCC ACT's impact in the national youth climate movement requires creativity, cooperation and self-belief. Managing volunteers successfully also requires sophisticated social skills and empathy.

This is a shared position and you  will be working with one other Co-Coordinator. Together the Co-Coordinators are responsible for AYCC ACT decision-making processes. With national assistance, and in consultation with the ACT coordination team, they make decisions on how the AYCC can be most effective in solving climate change in the ACT. The role is a fantastic opportunity to develop many and varied skills with lasting benefits.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support team coordinators.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the work of AYCC ACT
  • Design and oversee implementation of AYCC projects in the state.
  • Channel communication between the national and state-based AYCC groups.
  • Develop structures to maintain transparency and input into decision-making as the

AYCC grows.

  • Work with other state co-ordinators to input into AYCC's National Grassroots Strategy
  • Act as the AYCC's foremost spokesperson in the state.
  • Network and collaborate with other organisations in ACT that we can learn from and work with
