Job outline 

  • Responsible for managing the state's Schools 4 Schools mentors 
  • In weekly contact with the Schools 4 Schools mentors and ensure that each seed group is running well and mentors are adequately supported 
  • Visit a seed group once a fortnight to observe the program and the performance of mentors 
  • Responsible for managing the tracking of attendance and gathering feedback from partner school participants 
  • Responsible for informing mentors of training and development opportunities 
  • Responsible for organising state social events 
  • The right hand man/woman of the State Manager

Key Performance Indicators

  • Satisfaction and development of S4S Mentors
  • Cohesiveness of S4S team
  • Feedback from S4S participants

Skills required

  • Passion and commitment to making a difference
  • Ability to motivate and inspire your peers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Schools 4 Schools was launched by The Oaktree Foundation in 2007 with the goal of providing life changing educational opportunities for young people in developing communities.

Our Goals

  • To educate young Australians and their school communities about global poverty 
  • To create pathways for young Australians to take action and have a real impact. Motivating students by providing evidence of the impact their fundraising can achieve in their partner school 
  • To invest in the character, skills and leadership potential of young Australians as global citizens 
  • To provide sustainable funding for projects which tackle challenges facing young people living in poverty

  • Affiliated School Network 
  • State Conferences 
  • International Speakers

Job description

Job outline 

  • Responsible for managing the state's Schools 4 Schools mentors 
  • In weekly contact with the Schools 4 Schools mentors and ensure that each seed group is running well and mentors are adequately supported 
  • Visit a seed group once a fortnight to observe the program and the performance of mentors 
  • Responsible for managing the tracking of attendance and gathering feedback from partner school participants 
  • Responsible for informing mentors of training and development opportunities 
  • Responsible for organising state social events 
  • The right hand man/woman of the State Manager

Key Performance Indicators

  • Satisfaction and development of S4S Mentors
  • Cohesiveness of S4S team
  • Feedback from S4S participants

Skills required

  • Passion and commitment to making a difference
  • Ability to motivate and inspire your peers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • High levels of Intrinsic Motivation

Schools 4 Schools was launched by The Oaktree Foundation in 2007 with the goal of providing life changing educational opportunities for young people in developing communities.

Our Goals

  • To educate young Australians and their school communities about global poverty 
  • To create pathways for young Australians to take action and have a real impact. Motivating students by providing evidence of the impact their fundraising can achieve in their partner school 
  • To invest in the character, skills and leadership potential of young Australians as global citizens 
  • To provide sustainable funding for projects which tackle challenges facing young people living in poverty

Schools 4 Schools 2012
The program will include the following elements:

  • Partner School Program 
  • Affiliated School Network 
  • State Conferences 
  • International Speakers 
  • School Fundraising (Events and Live Below the Line) 
  • Educational modules delivered in schools 
  • Ambassador Challenge to Cambodia 
  • Interactive media
