Do you have an idea that will change New South Wales for the better? Do you want to develop better leadership skills that you can use in your community? Do you want to represent your friends and other young people?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the YMCA NSW Youth Parliament is for you! And MP nominations are NOW OPEN!

The YMCA NSW Youth Parliament is a program that gives young people a voice in the running of New South Wales. As a Youth Member of Parliament you will represent the young people of your electorate and let the politicians and decision-makers know the issues that affect you.

In a committee of young people from all over the state you will write a Bill that proposes a solution to an issue that you feel passionate about. Whilst in Parliament you will learn how it operates and take part in Question Time, Matters of Public Importance and Private Member Statements just like a real MP!

To become a Youth Member of Parliament, contact your local Member of Parliament, tell them why you should represent your electorate and ask them to nominate you-they have all the information and are looking for someone to represent their electorate.
