Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2011 - District 9680
RYLA is a personal and professional development programme that recognises young leaders and empowers them to create positive change in their community. Candidates who receive the award attend a week-long conference focused on the individual's leadership development. All costs associated with their attendance are fully covered by a sponsoring Rotary Club within District 9680.
Many candidates leave the RYLA with an identifiable drive to create positive change in their community as well as increased confidence, self-awareness, and a valuable peer support network.
Who is eligible?
Young people, between the ages of 18 and 27 years are eligible to be nominated for RYLA. It is preferable that these young adults have the capability for personal growth and have the potential to become leaders within their community and careers
How to apply?
The selection process is conducted by your local Rotary Club and involves submitting an application form (available online via link or directly from the club or your District's RYLA committee) and attending an interview.
Can I nominate someone?
YES, if you know someone who could be eligible?
If so then get that person to apply online or find and contact your local Rotary Club and put forward your potential Candidate(s). Your local Club will then contact the candidate directly and arrange for an interview. As a part of the selection process, Clubs should be satisfied that the applicant(s) meet the stated criteria.
