TEDxMacquarieUniversity 2011 is an exciting student-organised event that is centred around the theme of Social Awareness, Engagement, Change.
This independently organised TEDx event aims to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group setting by using a combination of interesting TEDTalk videos and engaging live speakers. The number of seats at TEDxMacquarie University is limited due to the TEDx guidelines, so attendees are required to submit an event application via the http://www.tedxmacquarieuniversity.com website. This will help ensure the audience comprises a diverse and complimentary group of people. There will be a live simulcast of the event in the foyer of Building Y3A for people who miss out on a seat in the auditorium. This setting is perfect for those who prefer to enjoy the day in a more relaxed environment. In addition to the simulcast of the talks, the foyer will have its own activities and entertainment taking place on the day. No application is required to attend the TEDxMacquarieUniversity simulcast event.
We are seeking thought leaders and innovators from a broad range of endeavor: technology, entertainment, design, science, business, global issues, philanthropy and the arts. We are seeking a diverse range of successful, thoughtful people to join in the event.
