Tia International Aid Marketing and Communications Director

Tia International Aid is a youth-led non profit organisation based in Adelaide, Australia, that aims to improve the futures of disadvantaged children in Cochabamba, Bolivia by working directly with local organisations and community groups to create sustainable and lasting change. Working from a model of empowerment and participation, we focus on collaborating with the community, working alongside centres and organisations that assist disadvantaged children and youth. Founded by Tessa Henwood-Mitchell, a Social Work and International Studies student at the University of South Australia, TIA is run entirely by a group of passionate volunteers, most of whom are likeminded university students or
recent graduates.

The Tia International Aid Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing an effective and sustainable marketing plan for TIA. This will include coming up with creative and innovative marketing strategies to raise awareness of TIA's projects and increase our supporter database. You will also manage the Marketing and Communications Team. This position requires initiative and creativity - working within quite flexible structures and guidelines.


Duties

  • Conducting market research and identifying new opportunities within the nonprofit sector;
  • Managing social networking platforms (i.e. facebook, twitter etc) to engage with TIA supporters and build our networks;
  • Designing and implementing innovative campaigns to increase exposure for TIA and promote the work we are doing in Bolivia;
  • Coordinating a team of volunteers who will be working in various areas of Marketing and Communications (Social Media, Online Marketing, Newsletter Production, Website maintenance etc)
  • Working with the Fundraising and Event teams to develop creative and sustainable methods of raising funds for our projects;
  • Assisting with the design of TIA's promotional materials;
  • Other duties as required.

Time Commitment
This position is an ongoing role, and will require a minimum of 5-10 hours a week, with attendance at fortnightly/monthly meetings, TIA events and our
Annual General Meeting.

Tia International Aid Marketing and Communications Director

Tia International Aid is a youth-led non profit organisation based in Adelaide, Australia, that aims to improve the futures of disadvantaged children in Cochabamba, Bolivia by working directly with local organisations and community groups to create sustainable and lasting change. Working from a model of empowerment and participation, we focus on collaborating with the community, working alongside centres and organisations that assist disadvantaged children and youth. Founded by Tessa Henwood-Mitchell, a Social Work and International Studies student at the University of South Australia, TIA is run entirely by a group of passionate volunteers, most of whom are likeminded university students or
recent graduates.

The Tia International Aid Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing an effective and sustainable marketing plan for TIA. This will include coming up with creative and innovative marketing strategies to raise awareness of TIA's projects and increase our supporter database. You will also manage the Marketing and Communications Team. This position requires initiative and creativity - working within quite flexible structures and guidelines.


Duties

  • Conducting market research and identifying new opportunities within the nonprofit sector;
  • Managing social networking platforms (i.e. facebook, twitter etc) to engage with TIA supporters and build our networks;
  • Designing and implementing innovative campaigns to increase exposure for TIA and promote the work we are doing in Bolivia;
  • Coordinating a team of volunteers who will be working in various areas of Marketing and Communications (Social Media, Online Marketing, Newsletter Production, Website maintenance etc)
  • Working with the Fundraising and Event teams to develop creative and sustainable methods of raising funds for our projects;
  • Assisting with the design of TIA's promotional materials;
  • Other duties as required.

  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a (really awesome) team
  • Well organised
  • Previous marketing experience (preferable but not essential)
  • Creativity
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • A commitment to upholding the vision of TIA and a passion for making a difference!

Time Commitment
This position is an ongoing role, and will require a minimum of 5-10 hours a week, with attendance at fortnightly/monthly meetings, TIA events and our
Annual General Meeting.
