Oaktree has had some notable achievements either individually or part of a coalition with other organisations. These include but are not limited to:
- In Australia, we have mobilised more than 10,000 supporters, run more than 300 conferences and speaking engagements and reached more than 150,000 people.
- We were the leaders behind the 2006 Make Poverty History Concert in Melbourne, the 2007 Make Poverty History zero Seven Road Trip and the 2008 End Child Slavery Campaign.
- The Oaktree Foundation runs Generate and Schools 4 Schools - programs that engage deeply with more than one thousand young people around the country and through our curriculum creates dedicated and effective agents of change
- The Oaktree Foundation coordinates one of Australia's biggest peer to peer fundraising campaigns, Live Below the Line which last year raised over 1 million dollars.
Position:
The role of the Chief Operations Officer is to determine Oaktree's strategic direction, and direct its operations in line with the strategy. In order to do this, the COO coordinates a team of seven State Directors - and works across all of our national programs and initiatives, ensuring that we successfully achieve our goals.
The COO is supported in this work by an Executive Assistant. This role will provide you with broad exposure to the full scope of Oaktree's work - you will work alongside Oaktree's highest level leaders, and contribute across all its initiatives. - Experience in management and/or strategic planning;
- Experience in communications;
- Experience in developing and coordinating efficient and effective systems and processes;
- Experience in relationship management, including situations of sponsorship and/or customer service.

Time commitment:
10-15 hours per week including one day per week in the Oaktree Victoria Office
- This includes weekly meetings with the Chief Operations Officer
- This role will be based in Melbourne
- We are looking for individuals who can make at least a one year commitment to the position
