The Big Idea
The Queensland Government and the Australian Industry Group are offering small to medium sized Queensland businesses another opportunity to turn their big ideas into reality through Round 2 of the What's your big idea Queensland? program.
We're looking for projects that will assist your firm to develop a new product, process, system or business model that will create a big impact.
The 22 winners of Round 1 were selected by an external panel of judges from over 600 applications received from around the State. Almost half of the winning applicants came from outside Brisbane, showing that innovation is alive and well across Queensland.
Winners came up with some revolutionary ideas, including a potentially life-saving fire protective cover for vehicles, equipment to help rescuers find mining accident survivors and a method to freeze-dry Australian limes which could open up an exciting new export market. The 22 winners received up to $50,000 to implement their idea over the next 12 months.
It's easy to apply, so get your thinking caps on, check out the guidelines and apply online.
