Are you young and love to dance? Do you believe dance can create positive change? Then the "STAND CENTER FRONT" - Young Performers Conference is for you!

Mayibuye's ‘Stand Center Front: Young Performers Conference' in partnership with Australian Youth Forum, is bringing together 70 young dancers from across Victoria to learn, be inspired and share their passion and experiences. Participants will hear from high profile performers, network with community leaders and learn new skills from industry professionals.

Students can choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced classes in Hip Hop, Bollywood, African, Meaningful Choreography, Latin and Commercial Jazz.

On day 1, students will discuss the issues facing their community and the role performing arts plays in development and on the second day the groups will brainstorm community benefit projects, these ideas will be presented at the end of conference showcase. The experiences and stories presented will also be collated into a report that will be used to advocate for the role of performance arts within society and specifically the development of youth.

The conference will end with a public showcase, where students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their passions and talents infront of friends and family.

Who can attend?
Students (aged 13 to 24) who participate in performing arts programs, groups, classes and/or outreach projects.

Cost?
There is no cost involved in attending, you will be provided with all the materials needed as well as catering. We will also reimburse participants for their travel expenses if desired (Victoria residents).

Who can attend?
Students (aged 13 to 24) who participate in performing arts programs, groups, classes and/or outreach projects.

Cost?
There is no cost involved in attending, you will be provided with all the materials needed as well as catering. We will also reimburse participants for their travel expenses if desired (Victoria residents).

Mayibuye's 'Stand Center Front: Young Performers Conference' in partnership with Australian Youth Forum, is bringing together 70 young dancers from across Victoria to learn, be inspired and share their passion and experiences. Participants will hear from high profile performers, network with community leaders and learn new skills from industry professionals.

Are you young and love to dance? Do you believe dance can create positive change? Then the "STAND CENTER FRONT" - Young Performers Conference is for you!

Mayibuye's ‘Stand Center Front: Young Performers Conference' in partnership with Australian Youth Forum, is bringing together 70 young dancers from across Victoria to learn, be inspired and share their passion and experiences. Participants will hear from high profile performers, network with community leaders and learn new skills from industry professionals.

Students can choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced classes in Hip Hop, Bollywood, African, Meaningful Choreography, Latin and Commercial Jazz.

On day 1, students will discuss the issues facing their community and the role performing arts plays in development and on the second day the groups will brainstorm community benefit projects, these ideas will be presented at the end of conference showcase. The experiences and stories presented will also be collated into a report that will be used to advocate for the role of performance arts within society and specifically the development of youth.
