Volunteer Administration Assistant

Purpose Statement

The Volunteer Administrative Assistant is a support role for the NSW food security team. This volunteer will take responsibility for the administrative work associated with programs such as the Good Start Breakfast Club and FOODcents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and filing Memorandums of Understanding and Quality Checklists for the Good Start Breakfast Club program.
  • Following up with schools and regional staff to ensure all MOUs are up to date.
  • Maintaining and updating the Good Start Breakfast Club Administration Process Guide
  • Responding to school and volunteer enquiries for the Good Start Breakfast Club program
  • Management of the Good Start Breakfast Club statistical database. Following up schools and regional staff to ensure database is up to date.
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly services report
  • Assisting with preparation for various food security program activities (e.g. FOODcents)
  • Other administrative duties as they arise.


Selection Criteria

Skills:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills
  • Sound record management ability
  • Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite and experience with database management
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team

Experience:

  • Experience in administrative work

Desirable:

  • An interest in food security, nutrition, public health or community development

Volunteer Administration Assistant

Purpose Statement

The Volunteer Administrative Assistant is a support role for the NSW food security team. This volunteer will take responsibility for the administrative work associated with programs such as the Good Start Breakfast Club and FOODcents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and filing Memorandums of Understanding and Quality Checklists for the Good Start Breakfast Club program.
  • Following up with schools and regional staff to ensure all MOUs are up to date.
  • Maintaining and updating the Good Start Breakfast Club Administration Process Guide
  • Responding to school and volunteer enquiries for the Good Start Breakfast Club program
  • Management of the Good Start Breakfast Club statistical database. Following up schools and regional staff to ensure database is up to date.
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly services report
  • Assisting with preparation for various food security program activities (e.g. FOODcents)
  • Other administrative duties as they arise.
