Power Shift Perth 2011
General Event Volunteers

A large team of friendly young people with good people skills, working together at Power Shift 2011 in Perth on the 30th September, 1st and 2nd October, to ensure the smooth running of the summit.
AYCC Perth is looking for passionate, creative, hardworking and friendly people aged 16-29 to take on the following responsibilities;

General Event Volunteers:
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers able to take on assorted roles at Power Shift, including:

  • Front of House to greet and register delegates and answer questions; Ushers to guide delegates to guide and assist delegates with their queries,
  • Room Hosts to assist workshop facilitators and participants and keep workshops running on time;
  • Food Helpers to assist in catering and service to delegates;
  • Concert Volunteers to assist in the effective running of the concert; 
  • Stunt Marshalls to guide delegates at the youth stunt;
  • and overall making sure that delegates get the most out of Power Shift and enjoy their time.

Successful apllicants will:

  • Be passionate about educating, inspiring and empowering Perth youth to make a difference on climate change
  • Have excellent people skills and be enthusiastic about working with like-minded people
  • Be happy to collaborate with and learn from others, share ideas and expertise
  • Have a high level of integrity, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Be persistent, patient, friendly, and passionate about creating a movement for change, whilst having fun

Power Shift Perth 2011
General Event Volunteers

A large team of friendly young people with good people skills, working together at Power Shift 2011 in Perth on the 30th September, 1st and 2nd October, to ensure the smooth running of the summit.
AYCC Perth is looking for passionate, creative, hardworking and friendly people aged 16-29 to take on the following responsibilities;

General Event Volunteers:
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers able to take on assorted roles at Power Shift, including:

  • Front of House to greet and register delegates and answer questions; Ushers to guide delegates to guide and assist delegates with their queries,
  • Room Hosts to assist workshop facilitators and participants and keep workshops running on time;
  • Food Helpers to assist in catering and service to delegates;
  • Concert Volunteers to assist in the effective running of the concert; 
  • Stunt Marshalls to guide delegates at the youth stunt;
  • and overall making sure that delegates get the most out of Power Shift and enjoy their time.

Successful apllicants will:

  • Be passionate about educating, inspiring and empowering Perth youth to make a difference on climate change
  • Have excellent people skills and be enthusiastic about working with like-minded people
  • Be happy to collaborate with and learn from others, share ideas and expertise
  • Have a high level of integrity, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Be persistent, patient, friendly, and passionate about creating a movement for change, whilst having fun

Please Note: These are not exhaustive position descriptions; they are suggestions of the areas you will be involved in and could change. Volunteers will need to be flexible, selfmotivated, creative, willing to take ownership of their position and try new things.
