Youth Leadership Australia is seeking students to act as a Human Resources intern for the period of 8 weeks. The position will facilitate the collection and promotion of volunteer positions to young people across Australia. This is an opportunity to get involved in an exciting opportunity thousands of skilled volunteers to organisations across Australia.

Youth Leadership Australia is a platform for the engagement and activation of young people in volunteering and leadership development across Australia. Its goal is to make it easier to get involved in volunteering and leadership development by providing an online directory of current opportunities, campaigns, programs, and organisations.

youthleadership.org.au currently draws hundreds of visitors per day and reaches out to thousands of university students and young people through its weekly updates.

We are currently seeking students to act as a Human Resources intern for the period of 8 weeks. The position will facilitate the collection and promotion of volunteer positions to young people across Australia.

It will be the responsibility of this role to:

• Liaise with HR managers inside volunteer organisations to source new positions available and determine human resource needs
• Oversee the training and engagement of external organisations in the use of the youthleadership.org.au opportunity listing platform
• Construct position descriptions of volunteer positions
• Track social media and websites for news and information relating to volunteer positions
• Data entry and distribution of position descriptions

The applications must have:

• 10 hours a week required to complete the role
• Professional writing and interviewing experience
• Professional and organised
• High level of initiative and independence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with computer and online technology
