TEDxMelbourne: Innovation - Friday 7 October, 2011

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At the TEDxMelbourne event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Oxfam Digital Campaigns Internship

Oxfam is looking for an intern for their Digital Campaigns. Operationally the intern will assist in the implementation of the social media aspect of the Digital Campaigns Strategy. As well as having the opportunity to research other digital campaigning options that may assist Oxfam Australia's campaign strategies, including looking at the current usage of digital tools by other organisations.

The Oaktree Foundation is currently recruiting for an exciting new position for the Communications Manager of Programs. In this Victorian based position you will work alongside the Assistant National Communications Director and a small sub-brand communications team in overseeing the management of high visibility and strategic communications of Oaktree's core programs: Schools 4 Schools, Generate, Campaigns, Projects, Live Below the Line and The Future Fund.

Hard Knock Life Conference

Hard Knock Life is a meeting of minds taking place on 9-10 September 2011. Capturing the creativity and visions of Australian youth to create better futures. The first day will feature speakers discussing how they involve young people to create to meaningful change in their organisations. Day two will be an unconference. What is an unconference? Essentially, we decide who will present what, where and when, that morning. It's a total departure from the conventional model, where people can present on any idea.
